Our sweet boy, Brett David was born after 11 days of waiting and worrying.  On May 4, 2000 we were told that our soon to be newborn would have a devastating heart defect known as Ebstein's Anomaly.  On May 15, 2000 at 12:56 p.m.  we welcomed our new baby into the world.  Within an hours time he was wisked away and taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where he would live his entire nine weeks.        
   He endured open heart surgery on May 20th after being on ECMO for 4 days and did quite well.  Unfortunately though he acquired two infections that would eventually lead to his death.  Our sweet boy is a constant reminder to us of just how short life is. He will forever be missed and remembered by all that knew him.  He has 3 siblings that enjoy celebrating Brett's birthday each year  also honor him on the anniversary of his death.  
   We can not express what an impact he has had on our lives and we Thank God we had 9 weeks with him.   We miss him terribly.
